Coaching Processes
This is a two day course designed to look at simple processes and good practical application of coaching fundamentals. It is the perfect catalyst for further professional development within paddlesport coaching. Our staff, highly regarded in this field and drawing on a diverse range of disciplines, will open your mind with a variety of theory and practical session both class room and outside based.
What skills can I learn on this course?
Your Training Director will run a programme that takes you through various coaching topics that gives you time to put them to practice. The learning programme includes the following key areas:
- Coach behaviours
- Observation and analysis skills
- Learning style and skill acquisition
- Identifying and applying the appropriate coaching styles
- Methods of effective communication and questioning.
- Setting Goals and aiding non-judgmental thinking.
- Maximising the benefits of feedback
- Reflective practices for sports coaching
What level of ability do I need to be?
In order to get the best out of this course you should have the minimum of a BCU Level 1 Coach Award or equivalent experience.
